Clone Header from Gecker Motosports

#1
Hello...I have seen several posts about headers on this site so I thought I would post some pics of my header install. I have a Baja Heat mini bike and recently bought the small box stock header from Gecker.

ExhaustSystems

I knew the header wouldnt just bolt on but it was something to play with. When installed the header points right at the frame tube running straight up from under the seat. With a little heat from a propane torch I was able to bend the header slightly towards the front. :weld: It took only one small push to get the pipe pointing where I wanted. I had to saw off the muffler support so it didnt hit the frame. :hack: The angle at which the muffler sits wound up being perfect. The exhaust flows down and back. Overall it fits nice, doesnt look to bad, and sounds pretty good.

That's a nice fit. Did you heat and bend it on or off the bike?

I put some bolts throught the flange then clamped the bolts in a vise. Ran some nuts down just tight enough to keep the header from shifting back and forth. I used a 10" steel punch to bend the pipe.

Why dont you just keep the oem airfilter on the carb? Mine has a butterfly nut that holds it on. Seem much better then that little filter. Its also much larger.Looks like a breather filter.
