OK, did a test run today for top end with the spring in place. It knocks about 3 mph off of the 51 mph best speed, best today was only 48 & it struggled to get there. Definitely limits the high rpm stuff, so there's always a trade off on things, but it is lots quieter than an open pipe. Nearly a 10% reduction in power & breathing from the restriction is a lot!

In an earlier post of yours you mentioned the top speed at a certain RPM. Was it something like 3700 RPM's at 45 mph? What was your RPM's at 48 and 51 MPH?
