"A good setup is NOT cheap, A cheap setup is NOT good."

WOW! Did George say that?? "That's impressive" as EE would say, and exactly correct!

The blaster almost doesn't matter, it is all about the compressor, and compressors are like airplane maintenance, a bad place to save money!

I guess I will just have to do it at work on Sundays when the 30+ techs in the shop arent there using their air tools... I should have more than enough air there.

well here's a word of advice to the thinking types, I too had several compressors and even staged the things to run a DA sander on a boat hull I was given and could never generate enough air and would have to wait and wait, but :confused: A light went on and i was so stupified that's redneck for slapping myself, guy took some fairly new hot water heaters plugged the holes with plugs staged the things with a manifold and a petcock drain system and was able to use a 3 hp compressor set up and with the extra air storage never ran out of air, now thats thinking like a working man, I never considered those w/h tanks are pressure tested to 175 psi oe better when built, but boy when you need air they make perfect storage tanks, just saying.........red423

i tried this setup on a set of powell aluminum wheel halves. i have a big ind. compressor. the air nozzle from H.F. doesnt pass enough air thru it. i switched to an old air nozzle i had with that blew a lot more air, worked much better.the 7/16th plastic tube need to have something on it to adjust the amount of soda coming thru it. this setup needs more air and less soda but it did do a decent
job. make sure you clean the crud off your parts real good before blasting

Dunno. I stole the GX390 off my pressure washer for the Build-off.

I do all my blasting at work. 3 big rotary screw compressors capable of 4k cfm at 200psi.

There are 2 "cabinets" at work big enough for cars, and probably a dozen smaller cabinets.
