this post is in responce to the person wanting rupp sprint rear shocks
they look like they are made with easy to get raw material I guess the spring would be the hardest thing to get

ok starting at the bottom the small diameter

this end of the shock is made from a solid piece of 3/4" round stock 7 1/2" long the hole in the end must be able to take a 3/8" bolt the other end of this piece is turned down a little at a bout 1/2" from the end so the spring can sit on it

the spring is 3/4" in diameter and 6 1/2" long on the other end of the spring is a little button made from the 3/4" round stock that is drilled to recieve a 3/8" bolt and it was turned down a little to to fit inside the spring

the large diameter tube is 1" OD 3/16 wall and 10" long this allows the 3/4" roundstock and spring to slide inside this tube is also drilled in the end so you can slide a 3/8" bolt through it

lots of words but the picture says it all
remember this isnt rocket science it dosent have to be perfect if its not n body will know or care
