K&N style intake, operate in the rain? Rain Shroud?

#1
I have a predator 212 that I did the K&N style intake, e-tube, a torque tube exhaust. We just got a ton of rain out here in California and I'm wondering, does anyone make a K&N style rain shroud and/or do I even need one?

thanks

You could put a plastic bag over it....

Water in the motor is bad.

I have seen a shroud made from a car exhaust tip. Can't find the pic...

Outerwears black pre-filter

With that said, I ran my clone motor all weekend at windber without one, and just occasionally removed some of the heavier clumps of mud off the air filter....

It depends on how much water. A little water is actually good for it. It'll decarbon the head and valves. It will run cooler and prevent detonation. Too much water will possibly contaminate the oil, or even short the ignition. Or worst case, hydrolock the engine and bend the rod or valves.
