Kill lever- Tote Gote tech

The old tote gotes had a kill lever that I haven't seen on anything else. I've found them easy to use and very simple to build. It's built out of two strips of metal pop riveted together. The end of the lever sticks out by the side of the gas tank in an 'easy to grab' position.

Good idea. Also wondering about the shock issue.

I'm assuming the answer is 'no shock', but i've never even tried using these types. I see them on a lot of engines and before I knew much about them, I though maybe they were missing a piece of rubber/plastic shielding for your finger to actuate them!

Never been shocked ( at least not by the kill lever ). Spark follows the metal strap to ground.
