Mikuni vm22 choke idle speed

#1
Is there anyway to adjust the choke rpm speed?
Mine starts with one pull, dead cold with choke on, however rpms are 3500.
Is that what they are supposed to be?

Yes and I have had issues with the tc engaging. If you look at the e richment hole behind the slide it is pretty big so what I do is open the e ri hme t lever half way and it still starts up cold nust fine but rpms are lower and tc does not try to engage.

My choke is either on/off. (All the way up or down)
Are you holding with your fingers at midway point or can the distance be adjusted?

I am assuming this is the carb you are referring to correct? On all of mine the arm has enough friction that I can put it halfway where the detent is at its highest and it will stay there just fine. When it is in all the way it allows a lot of air to bypass the slide mix with fuel and that causes the fast idle. If you just put it to halfway to the full on it only exposes half the opening reducing the extra air/fuel mix.
