Quick pic of the nearly done progress on my 8 year old son's DB30 project. We have been working this slowly throughout the year together to teach him about engines and bikes in general. Pretty happy with the outcome. Beginning another for his kid brother now too.
He picked the colors we painted it too. Its Harley Davidson Red with gold flake, and gloss black bars. His grandpa owns a machine shop and machines some stainless pegs I designed. Been a fun project.
I actually got the seat cover from a person on Etsy for $30 shipped. From order to door on 3 days. Very easy to put on too. They have all sorts of doodlebug covers available in stock. This one I ordered custom to match the bike with red piping.
New seat is a huge improvement over the poorly made non supporting stock seat is almost as bad as riding on the frame when compared to the custom seat. I am so surprised when someone invests lots of money into high performance parts and they leave the stock seat
