no muffler straight pipe only risk?

Ok so it seems like most or all? Engines used in minibikds are not st any risk of being damaged by running a straight pipe with no muffler. Is this correct? The only risk is that they are noisy? But the small engines pick up a little performance with a straight pipe too? Thanks for any info.

No risk that I know of...unless your neighbor punches you ! :laugh: It needs to be atleast 10 or 12 inches long...short pipes help burn valves.
