I got a little more done in the last few days , it should be back to a roller tomorrow. New tires and fenders from OldMiniBikes and I got the new seat at the Old School Minibike Show last weekend.

Here is what I got done in the last few days.

Back to a roller.


I am not using the original fender so I had to make new fender mounts.






Put gas and oil in the new engine and had it started.



Here is how the bike looks now, I hope to take the first test ride this weekend.

Nice solution on the fenders. Modifying the unplated steel OldMiniBikes fenders is a trick to get right and fit properly on the Gilson frame/forks.

I thought I had this build almost done , but when I tried to put the under seat exhaust on it hit the gas tank. I looked into bending the pipe but it would have took a lot of bending , I wasn't sure I could do it with out damage. So I moved the gas tank to the top of the engine. I have it mocked up tomorrow I will take it apart and paint the new mounts and a couple coats on the tank to cover scratches.

I got the clutch guard done today, and will be taking the first test ride tomorrow.
