Predator 212 Bogging at low RPM

#1
I just installed the upgraded air filter kit and 140 emulsion tube with the 36 jet. Still running stock exhaust. It will idle great but right after I take off after the clutch is fully disengaged, it spudders and goes in and out. This only happens at low rpms. If I go full throttle it's fine and riding steady at high rpm it's fine. Any thoughts? Thanks

I would try putting your stock e-tube back in...and using the new jet. Sometimes the low side jet needs to be bigger to help the low to mid range.

Yeah I want to get a header or something like that but I'm trying not to get cops called from riding around the neighborhood. That's my only hesitation.

Swapped out the 140 emulsion tube for the stock one with the 36 jet and it runs almost perfect! Another quick question, what do I do with the hose on the gas tank? I will get a uni filter for the valve cover breather but as far as the tank breather I'm not sure. Thanks very much for the help guys.

Typically the gas tanks now don't have a vented cap. They don't want to vent vapours to atmosphere, So they vent to the carb where it will be burned. Part of all the new emission control stuff.
I'd put another filter of sorts(a breather or a small fuel filter).

I am having a similar issue. Wont idle. I put the bigger air cleaner and header on WOT the thing on a BAja with TAV is a beast!!! But it wont idle any more. I jacked up the idle as high as it will go without engageing TAV and still dies.

I had an old 38 jet from a previous stage one kit. Should I get the new E-tube?

Thanks in advance,
Dave
