side cover gasket on clone.

#1
Do any of you guy's use 2 gaskets on your side cover? It looks like a gap, i know it is on right, and tightened right.. Looks strange looking down at it.

you're asking for a leak if you double up on the gasket. is everything lined up and torqued properly?

do it on a car oil filter and it will piss oil.

It looks like a gap, but it's not. The real Honda's have a yellow gasket that is just a hair larger than the outer lip of the case, so you can see it protruding. However, the clone gaskets are just a tad smaller therefore creates the illusion of that gap. just torque down and you'll be good to go.

Wrong
Under some conditions you need two gaskets.
The tollerences on clones are all over the place.

I have a clone witha DJ crank and a Lifan block that needs 2 gaskets.
The Lifan block has been machined for a shorter crank, OR the DJ crank is longer. Not sure honestly, need a real Honda GX motor crankto find out who is right and wrong at this point.

BUT

That motor with 2 gaskets is just fine ( with about .006 end play )/
Loose is fast, tight is not.....
