Very cool. They were a POS and broke apart very easily but I still have a vivid recollection of one sitting up behind the counter at a local shop when my Step dad had finally agreed to go at least look at some minis. I wished I had it then and I wished I still had it now. Nice pick.

i want to fix it and ride it, but im scared of it breaking ive got other taco trade offers. those taco hoarders are trying to get it .

Great find. I guess that design kept a lot of people from swapping motors....very cool.
im pretty sure its the original engine its a 65 but it does not have the hot dog exhaust i dont know if that was a oem part yet. or if they offered it....

I don't think it's a Taco....It's NOT purple.:laugh:, or is that just a lousy color picture.

you can tell by the grease and grime on the motor and motor plate that motor has been on that bike forever. Back tire is worn smooth somebody rode the heck out of that thing. I'd call that a true survivor,I'll bet it cleans up nice .

I understand that it's rare and original and all that but I have to ask,what so called engineer thought that design was a good idea:laugh: Maybe I'm just naive.:shrug:

To me that and the 2 stroke Series one Taco hanging center frame minis built similarly were the coolest looking minibikes ever made, ugly to some but the simplistic design is beautiful to me and what I always thought of when I heard about a Taco minibike. Nice Tacquito.
