This kinda puts it in perspective...

We are all worried about what is going to happen economically in the near future. The following is one way of looking at the facts.

-U.S. tax revenue: $2,303,000,000,000
-Federal budget: $3,603,000,000,000
-New debt: $1,300,000,000,000
-National Debt: $14,800,000,000,000
-Recent budget cuts: $ 38,500,000,000

To put into perspective what is going on lets eliminate 8 of the zeros in each line item and pretend it's a household budget.

-Annual family income: $23,030
-Money spent by family: $36,030
-Added balance to Credit Card: $13,000
-Outstanding balance of Credit Card: $148,000
-Total budget cuts: $385

Got it? There is absolutely, 100% for sure, going to be massive inflation of the dollar. But what the heck, lets have fun now and to hell with responsibility and sanity. A lot of fools have ran-up family debt to ridiculous numbers [I have an old friend with $35 grand in credit card debt!]. But people with 10 grand and plus credit card debt are simply people with their heads in the sand. I guess the federal government is much worse...they have their head up their XXX.

WOW.....It doesnt look as bad as I thought.......where do I sign for another loan?
GIMME GIMME GIMME....NOW

Actually we have been paying down our debts and now we just have a credit card with a modest balance to attack but still far more of a debt than I want.
I want a ZERO balance.

I'm SOOO fricking sick of owing money and feel I have more freedom with that 20K+ debt of a few years ago just about completely gone.

My guess is just about the time we have cash is when the government will make us go cashless .

The bad news is it looks like my place of employment will be changing again this fall :doah: which will suck but not as bad if we are debt free.
(might give me more reason to move )

Next goal is to get as much off the grid as possible, that will mean a new house out in the sticks with fireplace, a well and septic tank and other sources of power and thankfully we have good LED lights now that just sip the power.

Yep.. It's crazy. We need to get austerity measures in place, like yesterday. The gov can't do anything right, not to mention work within a budget.

What a joke, now they want to manage health care with no money to pay for it. Our government is a hahahahaing disaster and we need a reset, whatever that may be.

Voting through the ballot box is not working, they are all progressive freaks. The only hope I have is if the Tea Party can somehow infest the government and, they are who/what they claim to be. If not.. Game over as we know it. This is not sustainable.

So what's the answer? I, know what it is, as I have delt with and conquered my own little (relatively speaking) debt crisis, but that was just me and my wife. We have a president, a congress, and a house of representatives that can't agree on ANYTHING! And as long as there are party lines, this is how it will be. A third Tea party is not the answer. Who's the responsible party that's going to step in and get these career politicians to do the right thing?! Is it going to take a Ruthless Dictator that just takes them out and shoots them one by one? And then mires the country in corruption? What's the Voters answer? Is there an answer? What can WE do other than vote? (short of revolution)

My dad used to say we need a benevolent dictator - I have joked for years that if you make me king of the world and give me a "00" designation (licensed to kill for you non- James Bond folks) all problems could be fixed!

Seriously, I cannot imagine how a system that elects people who choose to be politicians could ever work in todays' environment of greed! When your only priority is to get elected, or worse, re-elected, the result is what we have - a bunch of greedy limp dicks who don't really give a shit about our situation! In todays' politics, there is NO room anymore for "doing the right thing"!!

OK, i said my piece, now back to minibikes!!!!!!!!!!

^^^^ Agree. I am so fed up and tired of going backwards trying to do the right thing. My wife and I only owe on our home. But, thank God that is all. We can't afford anything else. I contributed over 4 grand to my retirement acct last year. my employer put in another 3 grand. You know my balance was, 450 less than the prior year. WTF????
I see people everyday with no jobs, 40 frickin kids. They pay 1 dollar for a office visit. Dress better than I, drive a car better than I, and I bet eat better than I.
I am so over it!!!!

Money has been worthless since the gold standard was dropped.

The system is rigged so no matter how hard you try you are drawn into a rigged system designed to inflate away your wages.

Govermernts have used this to inflate away debts.

Now nothing is stable.

Personaly I don't care anymore.

Put a match to this mess let it all burn.
I hope we wake up to a giant solar flare in the morning thart fries ever silicon diode on the planet.

Hit the reset button on civilization.
Its rotton to the core and the system is rigged.

You need this man to run your country and all will be well....
No one will ever steal your wealth and prosperity again.

You seem to have it right. The problem is that there are an ever-increasing percentage of the population that wish to VOTE FOR A LIVING, rather than WORK FOR A LIVING. Vote for whomever says he will give the most free-bees!

It is called "redistribution of wealth" and increasingly we are becoming more and more like Canada [long term economic mud hole], Greece [totally bankrupt by long term voting into power the socialist that will give the most without having to earn it], Mexico and a slew of Banana Republics that long ago went to gimme-gimme socialism and never developed; their populations are still, even into the 21st century, dirt poor as a result. This is just the tip of the iceburg when looking at nations ether retarded from developing or later ruined by socialism. Even Germany's socialist house of cards is tumbling [years ago we were suppose to bow down to their 'superior' political ideas...what a joke]. Italy is now paying for their long flirtation with social-communism...a huge problem for them.

It is unclear to me if the public will see the real culprit. Socialism give-a-ways to low or non-producers made possible by crippling taxes on producers and businesses and wholesale printing of valueless money to pay for it are the problem. Stupid commie beliefs like industry and business being 'greedy' and other fairy tales that say it is OK to give away money when nothing is produced or value added have has brought us to the brink of disaster.

You people are fools if you think the story will change by changing the name on the cover of a book .

We do have scumbags in there now but they are no different from the scumbags we had in there before OBama and before Bush and before Clinton and on and on .....

All the people we have voted in use the position they have to put money in their pockets and their not there to work for you like they tell you they are .

Mitt Romney is a Corporate Raider by trade and I have my doubts he is wanting to be president to help us , He is going to be there to raid what is left of our country to line his pockets further like others have in the past , he just wants his turn .

People who think taking away entitlements is going to save the Country are fools , what are you going to do with all the people that get them and depend on them to exist ? You think it is as simple as stopping payments ? It is not that simple if you Think About It

Twenty years ago we had thirty different manufacturing places to work at in the four counties around us , Now they are all closed down and have gone to other countries or went bankrupt .

Some how I just can't see a Corporate Raider helping the Country  It is really sad to have no one honest , qualified to do the job to vote for

Yep all good points and the truth. Drove a bus for 5 years hauling around mostly welfare people. Welfare was a good idea back when the man worked and the women kept house. If she lost her man, the welfare would keep her and her kids alive. Now it is a career, pop out a couple of kids or more, get all the gravy. no need to get a job or an education. Get an old man that works and you have a pretty good setup. Politicians back when it was first started served the country. They didn't make a lot of money doing so. Now they exist for multiple terms and flourish by taking bribes from former politicians called "lobbyists". The recent reforms, made by politician's...say you can't take a politician to dinner anymore. So now you take them to a re election banquet and stuff 25,000 in their pocket to get what your client wants done, bigger bombs, casino's, flaky loans, whatever . Politicians have automatic raises, life time pension plans, private health care for life, all the things we would like to have, but it still isn't enough. Greed has no limit. there isn't a Government anywhere in the world that I know of, that doesn't have the same problems though. You know what though..most of the welfare moms I hauled around were miserable human beings stuck in a rut. They don't have mini bikes, or multiple cars, land or property that they own, or much of an imagination to dream. Just a check each month to cover expenses. If they go to school to learn something, they are expected to work after they graduate. I don't think we are put together to do nothing, to be worthless, unless we are so sick to think that the world "owes" us a living, there are some that think so, but not many. I wouldn't trade places with either the super rich or the super poor. They all have their price. I sleep good at night

When the pen is open and the food is free they will come and eat. Close the pen door and they will still eat just not for free. They earn their food instead of it being given to them.
True story. This is about wild pigs. Hmmmm.....

The problem is that we started feeding the bears...so to speak. If bears hang around the camp and you feed them, and keep doing it long enough, they will [100% of the time] lose their desire/ability to go back to the woods and make a living the old way.

That is what the bleeding heart liberals have been doing with people since I can remember [post WWII onwards].

Every year we have seen the amount of welfare items being increased. Step by step the system have been enhanced to spend a bigger and bigger portion of out tax dollars and has caused the producers to be increasingly burdened with paying for it. The people that get the handouts naturally vote for whomever says he will spend the most on social programs.

Don't try to tell me that people are any different that the bears. If there is a socialistic 'safety net' that makes obsolete the fear of ever really seeing some bad times then there is ALWAYS going to be a increasing % of the population that will feel comfortable being drones. Not getting an education, acquiring a rap sheet is no problem, having extra children you can't or won't support is OK because the government will do it, save no money for the future because nothing REALLY bad can happen if the government will take care of everything. Fry your brain with narcotics is AOK because it is considered a 'disease' [not a society destroying crime] by the liberal welfare systems. If a bottom feeder is strung out on dope he gets a lifetime ticket to never have to again be responsible for himself or anyone else.

Bears and humans are much alike.
