trike axle and drive question.

#1
Iv been doing some research on making a minibike trike.
some say live axle sucks and some say to use a differential. is the live axle bad just because its hard to turn or does the axle bend or break.
If i used a live axle and made it one wheel drive. wouldnt it turn easily.
one wheel keyed to the axle and the other using bearings without a key.
let me hear what you guys think.

One wheel free spinning on a live axle would work better than a live axel. You dont want to take a turn and have the front wheel push straight. But with the high center of gravity you will have the powered wheel off the ground some of the time. If your not going to drive it as your primary ride then who cares. But if you want to do it right. Get a differential.

Definitely not primary ride. just for street fun no grass or dirt. thinking wide cart slicks all the way around..
In case i feel like getting fancy what kind of differential should i be looking for and does it work like a car posi.
