Twist Throttle with Predator 212

Hi, ive been having an issue since upgrading the stock db30 engine for the predator 212. To max out the throttle on the predator engine I have to twist the stock db30 throttle much farther and i think beyond what it is meant to be twisted. It has gotten stuck a couple times halfway down when released and just doesnt feel smooth when I release it after holding it at its max.

Is there a trick to using the stock throttle safely? Or is there a good replacement that would support the long travel of the predator engine?

I've had good luck with these. But I would wrap tape under the throttle one to space the bar up a hair. The threads seem to slip and then the entire assembly spins and not the cable. I might be too hard on it as well. No issue on any of my 212's

I love the stock DB twist throttle. Maybe some pics of your hook up at the engine would help?
