Wheel Bearing seat is warped.

#1
I'm changing out all the wheel bearings on my Murray Track 2, and the rear bearing seat on the sprocket side is warped. When I tapped the bearing, it practically fell out. Any suggestions on how to fix that?

You can take a small puch and make indentations in the sear.
The raised areas from punching a dent will sometimes give you enough purchase.

ditto that, I have had to do that with a few wheels and some jackshaft plates, just try to keep the punch marks fairly evenly spaced so the bearing stays as centered as possible..this works very well...

I dunno if I would try that! The Murray wheels have a steel tube center section. It may not be thick enough to peen effectively. The "peening" works well on aluminum wheels, but I dunno 'bout the Murray wheel...it may just make them worse than when you started! Be careful!

on a steel hub I would try hammering it back into shape. If it doesnt work or if its aluminum cut up some shims from an old soda can or spray paint can and shim it tight. the flange bearing will hold the shims in place
