I am looking for info on compression release cams that will fit Tecumseh HS 50engines with the same valve configuration as on early 70s Rupp Roadster2 mini bikes with HS 40 engines. I have 2 restored Rupp mini bikes for fun and family use I upgraded to 5HP HS 50 engines the problem I quickly...

i will be purchasing a clone for one of my projects and want to run e85, to take full advantage of the fuel where should my compression be at and what timing should i run. i will be using a tillotson 368 a carb. oh and what cam also do you guys recommend:scooter:

Engine is a OHV 6hp powersport. Was looking at the release lever on outside of the cam gear, that thing comes out way to easy ! Anyone have one come off/loose while running? I emagine to cover keeps it from coming all the way out. Will removing it cause any balance or other problems? Not a...

O.k. now that I've identified that there's a compression problem (too low) what are my next steps ? How do I correct a low compression problem ? is this something that a joe hack like myself can do or do I need to send it out ? cost ? and any other opinions that you can share ... I'm all ears...
