valve

I was looking at a pdf of an old Tecumseh manual and it called for .004" valve lash on the intake and .010" on the exhaust. Is this right? Seems like a lot on the exhaust side.

Guys got my gx160 clone head 14cc comparing it to my pred 212cc head the pred head had a valve seal but on the gx160 you can't use it ..... Any info or help

Anyone know where I can buy on that fits the existing hold in my valve cover? Is it a 9MM or should I get the 12MM? I see them both for sale. Can someone please let me know which one fits best. Thanks in advance

So the hose thats on the valve cover i would asume is for a vacume of some sort bu Im not sure.. Since I removed the old intake where done this hose hook up to now?

I'm ready for some more power on my 212 Predator. I was curious of the maximum valve size that could be run with the stock 2.756 bore? In other words how big of a valve can I physically fit using the stock bore? thanks in advance.

Hey guys, i got a 4 hp clone and im not sure if the valve lash should be set at .002 for exhaust and .003 for intake.

what is the biggest/best combo of intake and exhaust valves that will work in a 420 head without any welding??? I see Parsons have 40mm int and 33mm exhaust head ready to bolt on as does NR I believe but 7mm seems like a huge difference in valve sizes....I would think 40/35 would be a better...

Like the title says. 14cc big valve Honda head. It has 32mm intake and 28mm exhaust. The ports were opened up on both sides and the pockets were also opened up. There is epoxy in the areas where it needed opened up past factory limitations. It has the stainless valve but no springs or retainers...

While looking around for a big valve head for my Animal I realized Ive built alot of motors big and small but never did a valve job, always take the head(s) to the shop or got by with lapping and hoping. I havent found a cheap big valve head and kinda want to do the work myself to learn more...

i have a big valve 420cc predator head for sale...it has been milled ported and polished and has a 38mm valve seat cut and ready for a big valve! the ex side is cut for a 34mm the head is from stoney creek motorsports in belleville michigan im asking $175 for it since its bare with no valves...

Just checked the valve lash on the 5hp I am rebuilding and it comes a little tight on the intake at .003". Check chart says .005" to .007". Exhaust is perfect at .010". Is it better to grind a little off the lifter or the valve stem?

When installing valve Guides I am certain that the clip side faces toward to rockers if one is places backwards can this cause oil to leak into the port? I think I received a head with a backwards valve guide installed
