Another vintage kart build BUG STINGER

started cleaning up this one today.not going full bore yet .just trying to get most of the outside work (blasting) done before the snow flies.this is the one I got from my best friend and actually rode it in my teens. been sitting in a garage for over 30 years

stripped it to a bare frame.still had some of the original yellow underneath

didn't blast the floorpan since i'll probably replace it

frame is in really nice shape for it's age.besides the floorpan,just have to fill the extra pedal holes.no rewelds anywhere

Wow !! Do you know how hard it is to find those tanks? Let alone for 12 bucks.

That thing is gonna be sweet :thumbsup: I have a buddy who restores and races vintage Karts who would give his left nut for that :laugh:

removed the floor/seat pan and welded up a couple extra holes in the frame
i'll be putting a new pan on it

the left upper tube took a slight hit.it's bent alittle bit. not gunna mess with that.i'd probably make it worse .:doah:.other than that and a little bit of pitting(not bad)the frame is super nice.no cracks or rewelds anywhere. pan will be a welded on steel one,just like it was. i'll put it in the build-off if we have one :laugh:

got 2 mc70's I got with it clay.not in the budget as of right now to do those up right.i need to get either a mount that matches one I have or 2 matching ones.got 2 different mounts right now :facepalm:

I have a few nice running saws that i'll convert till I can rebuild the 70's

2 are always better than one :biggrin::biggrin: :2guns:
