line up the push bolt with the rear oil drain plug drill two 1/4" mount holes in the motor plate and bolt it down with the push bolt retracted then you are ready to go!!
.
now to adjust your chain just loosen the engine mount bolts a little and screw in the push bolt until the chain is at the tightness you want then tighten down the jam nut on the adjuster body re tighten the engine mount bolts and no amount of chain pull or engine vibration will allow your engine to slide backwards
.
this is for engines with a rear oil drain plug with a center at about 3/8" from the engine mount plate
you will need 3/4" of motor plate behind the rear oil plug
and air space for the bolt that can stick back as much as 1 3/8 beyond the adjuster when the bolt is fully retracted
it may work on other engines but you may need to shim it higher and use longer mounting bolts
the square Adjuster is $15 shipped in the usa
the Triangle adjuster is $20 shipped in the usa

the style in this picture is not for sale it is only to show how they are mounted

They look the same. Ahhhh, left.
The difference is the spacing of the mount holes .... ok I will put the one with the wider bolt spacing aside for you and I will send a payment request as soon as I get the mount bolts nuts and washers please PM me your email address
Thanks

This is a super good idea! So did KB2ROCKET make them or did he buy them???
Normally I used a big wood clamp with rubber pads to tension my chain. One end on the back of the engine the other on the frame. But I still risk scratching my paint. So this would be a great add on to any bike like mine (without a chain tensioner)!!

Thanks.

That is a good idea on the block of wood. I have no help and getting the chain tight and holding it there is a biatch alone. Thanks.

And I believe he made them.

Yeah I made them and I have enough supplies to make 3 more but not now it's about 200 deg.s in the garage :cursing: the adjusters make it easy to set chain tension and once locked in the engine can not slide backwards oil vibration chain pull loose engine bolts all helpthe engine slide back but with the adjuster in place it just can't

I have one on my spyder that I got from him last year and it works great. Engine never moves and tightening the chain is a snap, loosen engine bolts, tighten jacking bolt, retighten engine bolts and done.
