Briggs 5HP Flathead to Mikuni VM22 Intake

Grant send me a drawing if you can draw it and scan it. I have a tube bender for 1 inch tube and have some 1 inch dom tubing with a ID of around .830 but I need to go measure it.

I'm guessing you need the intake angled away from the exhaust so you don't cook your carb...

It needs more of a curve in it due to the geometry of the Murray frame

Grant, the carb in your photos looks like a taper-bore instead of a VM...

It's important because the VM has a different mounting flange than the taper-bore and the intakes aren't interchangable between the two models.

yep i did. I had nothing else to work with Randi. It's running right now but kind of rough. I think the carb just needs to be tinkered with.

That was free.... it's a friend thing!!! I have never made a intake so tight and in metric tube, no external welds, does not look like mutch but was alot of work! took two tries to get what I wanted..
