Closing down.....

I hate Tecumsehs, every tecumseh engine i have (except the 2-cycle ones) won't run and i have tried EVERYTHING on them, on the other hand, every single Briggs engine i have runs like a dream! Tecumsehs are just WAY to unreliable for me. So if anyone wants to trade a nice (NON RUNNING) H35 or h50 for a Briggs equilivant i'd be happy!

Trickle down economics hasn't worked for 8 years now, let's try from the bottom up instead.
Tell me more. I know for sure that "trickle down economics" refers to capitalism. What's the true term for "trickle up ecconomics"? Will I still have to work like with that damned trickle down economics?

Smallbore.
I'm seeing 149.00 for the Harbor freight 6.5 engine.Or was your reference of 99.00 to the 2.5 hp engine? I'm on the fence regarding the 6.5 hp engine Only reason,I don't know if I would be able to hook up the throttle cable. You know,is there drilling out or some fab.work needed to fit the throttle?
Ok then,Thanks.

Tim
Yes it is the 6.5 engine. The web site may say $149.00, however.... You need to be on the mailing list for the weekly special coupons. No coupon, no deal. I get their junk mail every week. If you dont, get on their web site and sign up. Hooking it up is a breeze. You`ll need to make a bracket to mount it to the motor, and provide a spring but the whole swap can usually be done in an hour or so. At $99.00 this is hard to pass up and im going to get another one just to put on the shelf for a future project. Maybe a turbo charged engine ? I`ll probably repaint the blue though. If its red it will at least look like a Honda

Hey Oldsalt ! The only way your going to understand the "trickle up" theorie is to fly down south of you to the Communist Peoples Republic of California, go to the beaches of San Francisco, sit on the beach while holding hands and singing Kumbaya with Joan Baez.... WOW ! Thank God i missed that boat !! :eek:ut:

All I saw during my time in the corporate world was CEO's getting shuttled off with big compensation packages, layoffs here, and outsourcing overseas. So the rich got richer, and we got layed off. Try living in upstate NY, there are no manufacturing jobs here, they all went to India and China. Maybe the exec's should go over there too. The tax breaks meant for the over 250k crowd just made the richer, I doubt there was much reinvestment into the company and workforce.

New guy here, don't want to step on any toes, but:

Expain this to me, how is someone at the bottom, getting gov't subsidies, going to provide me with a job? They're NOT!! Its the people at the top (with necessary capital $$$), getting tax breaks etc, that are incentivized to invest in businesses that ultimately provide jobs. Welfare Joe isn't going to do it!

And this is something new in the last 200 years?

who creates your jobs? the poor, or the people who do it for a hobby? SOOOOO, Taxing half their profit will make them want to create more jobs and stick around?

Jobs go over seas because they do it cheaper and faster and they are going where we have already been. It;s call COMPETITION.

Now, go buy some more clones and bitch about your job. :eek:ut:

Also check out what the democratic congress did to the economy.

Surrounded by dingbats.:doah:

Hey Tom and OldMinibiker, I have an idea for you.... A few months ago i downloaded a coupon from this site and it worked for a $99.00 clone. I just used a better lens to give you a better photo. Maybe you can print this and use it. It worked for me last time. Just tell them you got it off their site. Ohhh... GTO even though some folks buy these import engines, we still own and love our made in USA ones. The imports are just to use & abuse, and beat them into the ground on the Race Bikes. Chinese yes... kind of a Love-Hate relationship. At least Harbor Freight is an American Company (even though they sell 90% crap) with American stock holders, and American jobs.... And on the Financial Meltdown... Yes ! you are correct !! Whole thing started with a Liberal idea known as the FAIR HOUSING ACT and just went on from there. :doah:

You know, as a CPA who works on taxes it bugs me when people make it sound like republicans only offer tax breaks to the rich. First of all, as far as I am concerned, the only fair tax is a flat tax. Everyone pays at the same rate. Now a flat tax is not quite simple since a flat tax that would be proposed does in fact take many circumstances into consideration to answer all of the charges against it. Bottom line? It would be the most fair tax out there. Now some say that the bush tax cuts were unfair, but all those who have children were granted a $1,000 tax credit for each child. Now who was excluded from the benefit of the child tax credit? Only the rich, it is phased out when you get over a certain income level. McCain proposed increasing the child tax credit, once again, who were the only individuals who would not be able to take it? The rich. How is that looking out for the rich? Sounds more like looking out for your average Joe to me. It is true that the bush cuts did provide rate cuts to the highest income tax brackets, but the highest tax pay bracket was 39%! Outrageously high. I never understood how it was "only fair" to take from those who have given much. Now it is true that some are indeed overpaid, but with companies what goes around comes around. It may take time for that to occur, but it is true. You know, although I did vote for McCain and disagree with Obama, Obama himself is not what concerns me. What concerns me is the fact that not too long from now, one party will have complete control over every branch of our government. NO party should have control of every branch. All checks and balances are virtually eliminated which means that the purpose of the separate branches can no longer be fulfilled. This may result in some serious damage to our democracy, may I am being radical in thinking that. Sorry guys, that is not what this thread is about. I will start one regarding the election in the off topic discussion section if anyone wants to talk about their thoughts. Sorry for getting off topic guys. I kind of ranted there and I barely got started.

Spot on. But you did forget the one sided media with an agenda. The Obamination will now have to surround himself with Clinton advisers since he has ZERO experience. Kind of ironic after their bitch fest isn't it? What a joke, people are too lazy to research the facts before voting .

OH and guess what? the boys I know in Iraq tell me they are board as hell, I'm sure the Obomination will get credit for that too! :eek:ut:

Like I said, I was just getting started, I could go on forever about the things that most voters failed to even realize because they simply did not think through the consequences. There has never been such a perfect recipe for the continued pursuit of socialism. You know everyone blames the president for the problems. Maybe someone will realize that the president simply signs bill and laws, he generally does not write or present them. The house and the senate do that work. Therefore, any presidential candidate can talk all they want about what they want to do, but the only things that get done are those that get introduced and pushed through congress. So, all of those things that democrats want to do that Obama may not have been exlicitly communicating are going to happen because although he may not have touted strong support for the some of the programs, he will have no problem at all signing a bill into law if it was written by a democrat, no matter how devastating. I am not concerned about him being in office for eight years. So long as the media does not cover for him too much, these next four years will be so rediculous it is bound to swing the other way.

If the Demo-Socialist Party did, indeed, get their way and got all the money in the U.S.A. given to the "Poor, Underprivilaged Masses" [as defined by the editor of the N.Y. Times] the same people that originally had it would have it back in a day and a half. We're lucky the Constitution of the United States does not facilitate liberalism otherwise idiots like Carter and O-bomb-us would get it done.
