Couple new finds this weekend

I saw that Gilson there. When I went on Fri. morning they wanted to much for it. And she would not budge on price because the red bike sold so fast.

The red Wards that was very nice had wrong motor. That was already sold. I was there at 11:00 AM. Ouch!

It's funny I saw more people interested in the mini bikes then the other stuff.

There was a 400X cat that was to much. It was also stripped of all good parts except the fenders which were painted. Did you see that one?

At the far end there was a little red mini not sure of brand but it needed parts and was spray bombed. When I saw it the vendor was making to different people put a blind bid amount for it because the both wanted it. Just crazy

Then a couple booths down I saw a Cat Trike! It looked nice and I darted to it and there was already a sold tape on it. Ouch again. The trike had original motor I believe. And it was a Cat because of the bars. Later on the way out I saw a different vender with the same trike.

How does anyone find good bikes there when there is already so many vendors buying before gates even opening. I saw more guys riding vendor golf carts looking at items then people at that time. Sucks! There are to many vendors there looking for these bikes. And most go shopping before they even set up their own shit! Or before the gates are open. It's not only the vendors it's the employees also! Employee's should get fired for shopping while working. I don't believe that is right or fair. Crazy if you ask me!

I wont go there again looking for bikes. For that reason alone!

I thought I would run into more parts. Mufflers and motors, guards etc. And there was little or nothing from what I saw on Friday.

Unless you are restoring an old car and looking to put on shit parts, that place is soooooo over rated.

Yea, you have to go early Friday to get the real good deals. I got the blue Gilson for a real good price. Much lower than what he was asking. He said his wife will be happy that he sold it. My brother in law bought the Cat trike. He is a vendor there but he is also into the mini bikes, go karts and trikes.

Thats my point

I was there Friday at 11:00. 1 hour after the gate open. That's early if you ask me.
I talked to the lady about the Gilson. Not the man. So maybe she was brushing me off until he showed up. Because she didn't want to sell it cheap to me. That is for sure!

Did your in-law end up paying asking for that Cat Trike? If he did it makes me feel a little better I missed out. It did need tires and seat cover. The rest looked in great condition. I even saw original clutch bell on that thing.

I guess I went there looking for deals on anything. And 99% of the vendors were selling items at Ebay prices or higher. In fact many even used there phone to look up on Ebay to price the item when I throw out an offer.

A prime example was this piece of shit huffy BMX bike worth nothing. However, the bars and neck were rare BMX parts and added after the fact to make it a rider. As a buyer of BMX I noticed the parts. I asked how much for the bike. He said 300.00! I said 300.00? He said the bars and neck alone go for that on ebay! :doah:

Ran into that crap all morning. Maybe to early to sell at discount prices.

Nope, he got it for much cheaper. :deal:

If you get there early Friday, you get the deals from the people who don't know what they have. You get there late Saturday you get the deals from the people who don't want to bring it home.

Unfortunately, alot of the vendors are on to the demand for mini bikes now . Surprised no one mentioned the VT 7 Super Bronc roller for $175.00 . There was deals to be had on Friday . I bought 2 and did not make it 50 yards before I was offered alot more than I paid for them . Seen alot of usable motors and some vendors with just parts on tables . I saw 6 trykes there and most where reasonably priced . There is alot of competition there from OldMiniBikes members alone .
