Imagine My Surprise

I think I've found the only item at harbor Freight that wasn't made in China. It's an adjustable drive belt for my Craigs List table saw.

They ran out of the Chinese belts so they had no choice, don't worry though because another billion new chinese belts are being half ass made as we sit here typing. I have a nice craftsman table saw myself, it has a nice quick lock rip fence and it cuts well. I wish I had the cast end pieces and a wheel kit, it's been in my way for years now.

I bought a couple of those at HF for my atlas lathe after reading a post on practical machinist about how they reduce vibration and sure enough it was a big improvement over the rubber v belt. The vbelt had a spot where it is spliced together that must have caused a bit of shake. It was visible when turning a aluminum rod with the screw feed.
