Finally have no choice but to get to this thing.

Picked this up months ago and attempted to get to it for the build off. Ended getting discouraged with this whole deal.
Snapping a rod will do that to ya.
Decided to quick pouting and get back to building

I have 6 weeks to get this thing up and running.
This will be my dirt track racer for 3rd Biannual Mini Bike Mania.

Why Jersey Rat you might ask? Bike came from Jersey and I am not doing much to it but, buttoning up some things and building a good running engine.

Mocked her up yesterday. Now, to tear her down and see where it goes.

Gilson/Wards...with a clone.

Couple more shots of her mock up.
Lighted clone.
I have a couple goodies for the inside. Cam, rod, springs, and brrrrraaaappppp...

Should be a fun, quick, no frill build.

It's about time you did some more building Tom . Are we going to make her fast ?
I hope your build is quicker than mine are lately , I'am getting old .

Need to replace those stock back shocks with some 5 way adjustables.
Should be a good Dirt tracker with the long wheelbase.

My, my, my. I make a 5 minute job way too hard.:hammer:

Using the smaller tank to cut down on weight.

Engine is off and frame is power washed. Oil drained and a cup of gas in the block.
Everything ordered..
Easy 3 week build.

Nice!!! That's one bike in particular I decided awhile back that I'd like to own. Only seen one for sale here in AZ.
Should be pretty stout for racing!!!

Seems these clones are easy on fuel. A few weeks ago Gary (yankeebears) brother and I went for a 25 mile ride and it only used about a quart of gas ,but then it was a easy going slow 20mph ride not beating on it either really . Tom just bring a big gas can to fill the small one up. See ya in a couple months.

Thanks.
I always wanted one of these myself.
It really is,a big frame. Makes my Trail Horse look small.
Karen, I have been totally through it. Easy 6 weeks.

Until I open the crank case...

Glad to be back at it.
That Rupp pissed me off and thought about selling everything g but 6 of them.
