Never used it but I do have a funnel.
Looks like good stuff. Wanna bet he dumped the left over sludge in the back yard.

i'm gonna try this stuff. If it as safe and works as advertised I may just soak my rusty 10" spoked rims in it, tires & all see what happens...

I think the tires may be ok. Notice the guy in the video does not wear gloves, and says it safe on skin and clothes. also read this online:

Metal Rescue™ Rust Remover Bath is a clean, safe and easy solution to removing rust. Metal Rescue™ removes the rust on parts by utilizing a water based, safe synthetic molecule that is attracted specifically to iron oxide (ie. rust). Metal Rescue™ removes the iron oxide and holds it in solution, leaving the base part and other materials safely unaffected. The result, the cleanest, safest and easiest way to remove rust in the industry.

Looking at the surface I suspect that is an acid and other chemicals involved.
Probably contains phosphoric acid ( the stuff in Coke that gives it the tangy taste ).

The thing about Phosphoric acid is if its done right it creates a surface layer of iron phosphate over the steel. This leaves what called a French gray ( old finnish used on guns popular in eroupe a log time ago ) that is somewhat resistant to rust.

There is also the possibility this is something completely different though. There is another way to remove rust without acid.
Get some molasis and stick a rusty part in it.
I don't under stand how the chemistry works but that will desolve rust too ( just realy slow ).

How does this work?
not sure....

Found this on the website
"Some steels may develop a dull grey finish on polished surfaces. This is attributed to a phosphate-like coating formed and can typically be removed using abrasive pads or similar substances. This can be minimized by checking the parts and removing from the bath when rust has been removed. Leave parts immersed in Metal Rescue™ only as long as needed to remove rust. "

Its phosphoric acid and some unknow chemicals that I would need to read the WHMIS on ....

iv use metal rescue with grate results. it eats the rust and nothing else, just like they say it dose. i used metal rescue to save the internals of an engine that acsidently got wet while i had it open sitting in the garadge waiting for parts. what most impressed me was how clean it got the cast iron flywheel, it looked brand new. if you rinse the parts after using it dry them fast or they flash rust. it seems to work best when fresh. the pre used stuff gets saturated. they say it can be filterd to be reused but i haven't figured out how to filter it yet, coffee filters just dont filter enough out.

according to the MSDS for Metal rescue it is pretty harmless. Doesn't recommend anything more than safety glasses. Seems like a pretty safe product.

I wouldn't drink it, but yeah. I might have to try it out.
