Predator 212cc Governor Help!!!

#1
Hi everyone! I have a Baja Warrior with a Predator 212cc engine. I currently have it all taken apart to repaint, and I decided to remove the governor while I was at it. (And don't worry, I already ordered a new flywheel and rod.) I took apart the engine two days ago, and every since I've been trying to get the governor out! I've probably spent around 3 hours total trying to take the damn thing off, but that little ring clip just won't budge! Does anyone have any tips on how I could make this easier for me? Thanks!

Yes they are tight little rascals, I just use a flat screwdriver and a hammer ...just distort the crap out of that little clip and trash it all.
