They are to hold down the gas tank on a mx. It sits on top of the frame rails in front of the seat. Like a motorcycle.

How does the tank go on that? Ive got a bunch of round tanks in various sizes ive been restoring. I saw a bracket on that that goes across the two rear frame rails but missed it. Maybe I can use this. I very much prefer a tank up off the engine going straight down to the carb.

The MX tank sits on top of the frame rails and these brackets go underneath the rails over the stud in the bottom of the tank. Install the nut and that captures the tank so it can't come off. Not for use with a round tank.

Oooooh. I read that as "under the seat" gas tank. I'm like there's a new one on me. lol.
