This came back! My buddys 99 GMC sonoma with the 4.3 blew up yesterday at school. Now he wants a ranger!!:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:
But then again, when they are new and know whats going on, they will burn 4x4 quadratraction marks onto dry asphalt.. Not to mention beat the living fck out of them for 245,000 miles before anything really major goes wrong.. Yup.. You are guaranteed to need a heater blower stwitch.. I KNOW this bastard isn't holding 245 pounds of oil pressure idling.. Willing to bet thats broke.. :glare:
BUT... it beats the torque convertor blown out in my Ranger.. OR the whole entire underside of the truck rusts away and your rear axle falls out...
Never seen a 1977 Ford 4X4 big bad truck, with three axles, because one rear axle clip broke and the entire 3 foot long section of axles rolls away with your tire???
I've NEVER seen a 77 Dodge with Dana Axles do that..
But then again.. Buy a 91 Dodge with a 360 automatic and WATCH how many trannys you can buy in one year.. Too bad ya didn't stick with a 727 Torqueflite..
Bottom line.. Thinking one particular brand is in every way better than any other is just ignorant... They all have their faults and places where they shine.. Ya take the good with the bad..
