New Slot Car Commercial

Hey guys, here's a new commercial I just produced for a Church in Oxford, Michigan. Thought you might get a kick out of it, I wrote it, shot it on my slot car track, did the music and voiceover, a 100% jbrocks production. Sheeeeeit, didn't even have too leave the house! You Southeast Michigan boys who I know are all big sinners (riding minibikes on the street is a mortal SIN we're all going to hell for!) drinkers, carousers, booby trappers (that place still around??) and all around unhappy with your marriage, this might be for you.

Ted Cunningham is funny and entertaining. If you go to this with your ol' lady, you might just get some.....or you might not. Maybe you just won't get shit next minibike you bring home. And that's probably good enough for some, I suppose.:wink:

The commercial looks awesome. We were lucky enough to get a billboard too!

We've been swamped and I've wanted to post these pictures and say thanks!!

Hey thanks! It's totally a blast to incorporate my track into my advertising business. I use it mainly as an idea starter. As soon as I get a glimpse of a creative direction, I execute it in a billboard, photo it on the track....and then the avalanche of more ideas comes. I've gotten whole ad contracts using the billboard as a door opener; and sorted OUT a couple who were actually negative about it (uh, nice toy! or other ridicule). You could imagine what they'd say about minibikes. No I don't want to deal with them.

But in this case, the billboards are the product, the billboards in the commercial are the deal. I had the tune. Let's rock!

The concept is excellent. I'd like to see a video with engine sound, maybe scale speed reduced, like a race. This would serve no practical purpose of course, but it would be fun to watch.

Very nice job on the commercial.

Thank you! The video is slowed down, to 66%, and I'm not driving that fast either. The camera car is way top heavy, so too fast and it'll hooley, too slow it'll just fall off the track. I tricked a Wizzard chassis with a more powerful custom armature and added 80x (the weight of the chassis) traction magnets. I have a 30v/20amp power supply you could run a dentist office on, and I use a special tuneable DiFalco controller that trims the electricity/amps to the rails for the exact car I'm driving, which the extra weight of the camera (all of 2 oz!) plus the magnets, it ain't movin a inch without it. Kinda like the slot car equivalent of a full stage 4 minibike engine mod.

I was going to add racing engine s/fx (snagged from the Hoon Mustang video posted here!) but it was distractive to the message. I'm making a longform video next, which I will use those fx.

Very creative way to put across the message. My middle grandson Jason is just started a new job working for a company that does commercials for Adidas Shoes and now is beginning video taping for a television make over program and Jason is just 17 and has lots of talent and the passion to do well. I think I will show him your work.
