my bronco had disk brakes and they are useless :sadcrying4: I have them just barely dragging and with a full pull to the bars on the lever it does nothing so i cut a plate and welded on a stud , drilled a hole and stole the band from my other mini and wow what a difference!!

anybody have a new 4" brake band and pin they want to sell ? or a weldable kickstand bracket from azusa. thought i would check b4 i order from them. thanks
I have been working on a 1968 Larson Snowmobile and found it has a band brake this is the first one I have seen on a sled.
It has a V pulley on the jack-shaft instead of a drum and the band has a piece if 5/8 V belt for a pad.
If you can find a piece of spring steel for a band it should be...
How much difference does it make to run a band brake the wrong way? I know a band brakes functionality is highly dependent on all contributing factors such as wheel size, diameter and width of the brake , weather its on a jackshaft .... So someone with a brake that has been tried both ways on...

Hey, I have a few questions regarding the brake band set up for my Manco Chopper. It has been awhile and I just can't remember how this set up is supposed to work ? I know that the brake drum mounts by 3 bolts inside the wheel rim then the 4" inch brake band, of course, goes over that. Ok, now...
Does anyone make a band brake that doesn't use rubber for the pad on the inside?? Made a clutch brake... worked great at first but after a few passes the rubber begins to melt. Any ideas would be awesome!
Can anyone tell me where I might can find parts for a Dune Cat made by HPE Muskin? in Particular, I am in need of a brake band. This has not been made in over 20 years. Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
