Going a different route on my project.Good usable condition genuine comet 40 plus belt. Does have some slight surface rust on the sheaves from sitting and i don't have a scotch pad to clean them.Thats all they need.Driven is 7.5 inches in diameter,for a 5/8ths shaft.Driver is for 7/8ths...

Can you use a standard centrifugal clutch with a rear sprocket size of like 36? I know Its bad for it but I dont have the money for a racing clutch. Looking for a better top speed!

Cleaning out the garage and found this pair of vintage clutches. NORAM (North American Clutch Co.) has steel shoes, 3/4" bore, 10T for #41 Chain. ALLSTATE has composite shoes, bronze bushing... 5/8 bore, 10T for #35 chain. There were bikes (Sears?) that used the clutches as OEM equipment but...

I didn't get the orig engine or driver clutch and the driven clutch is bent up...salsburys look pretty close, if that's what they used what model clutches were they?
