The brass bushings/lowers have a lot of play and not a secure bushing attachment. Has anyone found a good modification for a smoother sprung from?

Looking for a cheap set of fork lowers with some springs to work inside 7/8" tubing to try and save a CCS charger frame. Dont hvae to be fancy just useable! If you got some lowers and springs from a trashed set of forks let me know...or if your collection would not be complete without a CCS...

Scored this older DB,which makes #4 for me, for only $10 and a 1.5 hour drive each way. I have most everything needed to make this bike running. I haven't decided if I want to fabricate a suspension for this one, make a chopper, stretch it, or flip it. When I do decide I will start a build thread.
