There's a machine shop down the street from me so we're going to keep him busy.
Note: This can be used for a trike. Like a meter maid thing. Retro. Not making long jumps with.
Anyhow there is a gap here to be filled.
A junkyard rearend from a micro car is too heavy.
Might as well...

Anybody know how much rider weight a stock Manco Thunderbird will hold. I'm rebuilding it for my son but I would like to "test drive" it once in a while. I weigh 260lbs though. Thanks.
The spring I bought for the rear suspension is way too soft at 200lbs, and I wonder if 350 pounds would be strong enough!?
My fear is that if I got a 700lb spring, it would be too stiff/strong. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Complete bike with me on it will probably be...
Hello, I am a new member and this is one terrific link! Lots of bright, experienced folks who wrench and know mb details. I just bought a DB30s with the stock 2.5 Baha motor, and was wondering what the max weight it would REALLY hold. I bought it to fix up and flip, but I was thinking of...
Does anyone manufacture a bobweight for the balancing process of a GX 200 motor I'm having trouble locating a bobweight that is small enough. The machine shop I am at the smallest they have 600 g with no weight added due to the small volume of motors I'm running through his shop it's not ideal...
If an arc billet flywheel is 3.5 lbs and I remove 1 lb of rotational weight from it how much of an increase of Rpms wil I achieve?
Or will I see an increase in top end speed with added rpm ?
I was thinking to take flywheel to the machine shop to reduce the weight a little an gain some rpm faster, do any one with a Tecumseh motor has done that, or is a stupid ideas:grind:

I am mainly interested in Briggs Flat heads but I am curious about Tec's and Clones as well.
The information was...

Engine spins in the the opposite direction of your typical minibike engine.
Can't post pics from my phone, but will post some when I get home...
I almost cringe at posting this, with all the misc oil threads, but here goes...
I use the "cheap" Walmart synthetic 5W-30 in almost all of my small engines, because they are almost all Briggs, and Briggs lists 5W-30 synthetic as one of the best options for their motors.

Anyone know the weight of a 2 1/2 and a 5 hp briggs engine. Thinking about putting two 2 1/2 hp briggs on my dart kart, I know 5hp would run better but I always liked the looks of duel engine karts. Just wondered what the weight difference would be. Thanks.
