was wondering if anyone has gained any preformance buy removing govenor on stock ex17 or if its pointless as some say thanks for your time

I need answers asap! How do you bypass the govenor on the stock 2.8hp or 2.9hp motor on a db30? I just heard about this, so I really wanna do this...HELP!:shrug:

Is the govenor and limit screw the same thing I heard about people losening the govenor and the other people losening the limit screw if they aren't the same then where is the limit screw

I have a 5hp briggs that I bought new a long time ago for an old mini bike project and stripped all the govenor components. I found most of the parts except the actual linkages and I think I could make them if I need too. Question is, does anybody have a picture of a 5hp briggs with the govenor...

I have a new 6.5hp clone and i just can't decide to take off thee govenor or not on one hand i want speed but my friend said it will destroy the engine and isn't safe so im asking anyone that has is it safe? does it really damage the engine bad?
