I picked up a Honda GX160 for a few bucks so I could use the 18cc head. Can the GX160 flat top piston be used in the 6.5 clone? I saw at least one post that said the piston skirt may have to be trimmed. Is that correct? Does it depend on which piston is in the 160?

weird question guys, but, i built a briggs intek 6.5hp, and ive ran it a little bit, and it just wasn't running quite right, seemed a bit sluggish, so, i started looking for problems and couldnt find anything obvious, so i ended up dissasembling it, and turns out one of my rings broke, not quite...

.640 or .690 pin height .015 over f/h piston need piston i can cut down to .615 pin height

I looked up the model number on my 5hp flatty and the part number for the rings say they fit 3.5hp to 3.75hp... :shrug: doesnt say anything about a 5hp and this is looking up the same numbers on different sites....

so i have a number 4 stamped on my briggs and stratton piston and i want to know what the H.P rating on the connecting rod. thanks
