Hi I can't seem to hook up my throttle cable to the carb. linkage and i cut some of the cable and now it frayed. I would like to know what I do with my throttle cable in order to to hook up to my carb. linkage. I don't know where the throttle cable goes.

I need to shorten the cable not the housing, if I cut it do you think I could crimp a piece of metal and solder it on. Do you all think it will work and be safe I wouldn't want it to come off and get sucked in to the motor. All help is appreciated! Thank you in advance.

anyone been successful pressing a new square end on a speedometer/ flexcable? I have a cable on my rupp which is too long. I took the flanged end off and cut the cable and housing. it seems that if a lot of pressure isn't used to form it the will fray apart.....

When making the ends of the cables. Whether barrel or ball ends. Do you jst use lead? Any lead? Wheel weights? Fishing weights? Is there a special lead? What do you guys do?

I'm trying out a couple alernate throttle linkage setups and looking for a good part for terminating the throttle cable above the bell crank that will hold the cable nicely. I have some older parts at home and one is perfect. I'll take a picture tonight to see if anyone knows the part number...
