I'd weld it. There's not enough damage in that bore to worry about.
It wouldn't take 5 min. to fix that. Problem is it's just gonna happen again. Billet alum. is not tough enough to do that job. You need an alum flywheel with a steel hub.
Awesome build. I think it'll look good with the yellow and black paint.
BTW, on our flathead kart motors we run the pulse line right off the intake manifold. Just a thought.

I've used a few 110 tig welders, but I've never seen one with AC and high frequency, which are both needed to tig alum. Who knows, they might be out there now:thumbsup:
